1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using any application programming interface ("API"), website, dashboard or service operated by cStudios ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), you ("User", "you", or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must not access or use our services.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and cStudios, governed by the laws of the Republic of India.

2. Description of Services

cStudios provides API-based verification and data retrieval services ("Services") that allow developers and businesses to programmatically access publicly available data from authoritative Indian sources, including but not limited to vehicle registration data, UPI verification, PAN/GSTIN lookups, IFSC codes, pincode data and IMEI device information.

The Services are offered on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free access to our APIs at all times.

3. API Keys & Account Responsibility

  • You are responsible for safeguarding your API key(s). API keys must be stored securely on server-side infrastructure and must never be exposed in client-side code, mobile apps or public repositories.
  • You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs using your API key(s), whether authorised or unauthorised.
  • We reserve the right to revoke, suspend or throttle any API key at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if we suspect misuse, abuse, or violation of these Terms.
  • Sharing, reselling or sublicensing your API key(s) to third parties is strictly prohibited unless explicitly authorised in writing by cStudios.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable Indian or international law, including but not limited to the Information Technology Act 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDPA), and the Consumer Protection Act 2019.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble or hack any part of our infrastructure.
  • Scrape, harvest, redistribute or resell the raw data obtained through our APIs to third parties as a standalone data product.
  • Send requests that exceed your plan's rate limits or deliberately attempt to overload our systems (DDoS, brute force, etc.).
  • Use the data to harass, stalk, defame or harm any individual.
  • Impersonate cStudios or misrepresent your affiliation with us in any way.

Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension of your API key(s) and account, without refund, and may be reported to relevant authorities.

5. Data Accuracy & Third-Party Sources

The data returned by our APIs is fetched in real-time from authoritative third-party sources (e.g., Vahan/Parivahan, NPCI networks, GSTN, India Post, and other government or institutional databases). cStudios does not own, create or independently verify this data.

  • We make no warranty — express or implied — regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability or currentness of any data returned by our APIs.
  • If an upstream data source is temporarily unavailable, returns incomplete data, or returns inaccurate data, cStudios shall not be held liable for any resulting loss or damage.
  • You acknowledge that data quality depends entirely on the upstream source and may vary. Success rates published on our website are approximate, observed averages and not guaranteed.

6. Service Availability & Downtime

While we strive to maintain high availability, we do not guarantee 100% uptime. Our APIs may be unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled or unscheduled maintenance on our infrastructure
  • Downtime of upstream/third-party data providers (government portals, banking networks, etc.)
  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, pandemics, etc.)
  • Regulatory action by government or judicial authorities
  • Network issues, server failures or other technical difficulties beyond our reasonable control

In the event of prolonged service disruption, you are not entitled to a refund. Any service credits or goodwill gestures for downtime are entirely at our discretion and shall not create a precedent or obligation.

7. Payments, Plans & Billing

  • Paid plan subscriptions are billed in advance for the selected billing cycle (monthly). All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated.
  • You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
  • We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 15 days before any price change takes effect on their account.
  • Free (Basic) plan quotas are subject to change or discontinuation at our discretion. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users before reducing free plan limits.

8. Refund Policy

All payments made to cStudios are final and non-refundable.

This includes, without limitation:

  • Subscription fees for Pro, Ultra, Mega or any paid plan
  • One-time payments or top-ups
  • Payments for API requests that returned errors, incomplete data or no data due to upstream source unavailability
  • Payments made prior to any service disruption or downtime
  • Payments for plans that were unused or partially unused during the billing cycle

By making a payment, you acknowledge and agree that you have read and understood this no-refund policy. This policy is in compliance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, as digital API services are consumed immediately upon delivery of the API key and first request.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law:

  • cStudios, its directors, employees, partners and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Services.
  • Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the total amount you paid to cStudios in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
  • We are not liable for any decisions you make based on data returned by our APIs. You are solely responsible for independently verifying data accuracy before using it for KYC, financial, legal or compliance purposes.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless cStudios and its officers, directors, employees, agents and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use or misuse of the Services
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation, including the DPDPA, IT Act, or Consumer Protection Act
  • Any third-party claim arising from your application's use of data obtained through our APIs

11. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, service marks, API documentation, website content and software code are the property of cStudios or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from our intellectual property without prior written consent.

Data returned by the APIs belongs to the respective data sources (government bodies, NPCI, etc.) and is provided to you under the terms of those sources. cStudios does not claim ownership over the underlying data.

12. Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.
  • Upon termination, your API key(s) will be deactivated and all unused quota will be forfeited. No refunds will be provided for any reason upon termination.
  • You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

Before initiating any legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiation for a period of not less than 30 days.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify active users of material changes via email or WhatsApp.
